Our Christmas cards this year

Good Morning Dreamerz,

So who is ready for Christmas? Not me that is for sure.  I am still trying to get our Christmas cards out in the mail to family and friends.  This year I wanted to create a bright and cheerful card that would work for everyone on our list.  I hope you enjoy the pictures..

Card Recipe:
DCWV Silver Linings Stack for the upper portion of background
Distress Ink in various colors
Embossing powder in various colors
Border die from Jaded Blossom used to split paper

I have been prodded by my crafty BFF Heather Ferguson from suprfoxdesigns.com to enter my Christmas cards into the
Happy National Christmas Card Day over at the Simon Says Stamp blog.

Have a great day Dreamerz, and in case I do not make it back in time to wish you all a wonderful Christmas, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year..

Hunting Unicorns and all I got was Unicorn Poop ~ WCLBH 2016 ~ project #3

Hello Dreamerz

I am bringing you my 3rd entry for the

Well as the title of the post says
"Hunting Unicorns and all I got was Unicorn Poop"
I like to have extra fun little gifts to hand out around the holidays to people who come over and I did not expect them, Leonard our USPS carrier, the little girl next door who thinks I really do have a pet Unicorn, and pretty much everyone else I may have forgotten in my mad rush to get everything done.

I like those little bottles of Starbucks Dark Peppermint Mocha that you can only find around the holidays, and instead of tossing the bottles this year I decided to upcycle them into gifts.

Recipe:
Drink copious amounts of Starbucks Dark Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino!
Peel labels and use acetone on cotton ball to remove any sticky residue, wash then sterilize bottles and caps to make sure they are super clean.
Fill empty bottles with your favorite Unicorn poop (I used skittles)
I used my Cricut Explore Air to add my own text using the write feature so it looks nice and hand printed, then I attached it to a tag and created a 2nd layer to use behind to add a fun whimsical touch.
I added trendy tape around the edges of the top tag and used Sparkle and Sprinkle Cloud Nine microfine glitter to give the tag some sparkle.
Next I took the Unicorn from Sweet Stamp Shop's Just Icons set (Sorry Dreamers this set is retired) and stamped the Unicorn with versafine black ink. I then used some basic copics to color the unicorn in and then used coordinating wink of stella brush glitter pens to give the unicorn shimmer.
for the back layer of the tag I randomly colored in the heart paper with copics
Added rhinestones for some extra bling and finished the tag off with elastic silver cording tied around the cap.  A strip of silver washi tape was applied around the bottle so it does not look so plain.

Thank you for dropping by and having a look.

Koa-La-La-La-Laaaaaaa!!!

Good Morning Dreamerz, I know it has been about a lifetime since I have actively posted on the blog.  Personal reasons of which I will not go into but know that I am fine, healthy and happy..

This morning I want to share with you my coloring of one of the cutest digi stamps to come across my desk in a long time.  I knew when I saw this in it's uncolored form that it would be one of those digital images I would just fall in love with and pour a whole lot of my love into when creating.  So much so I actually printed it off twice and every color and aspect I did on one of the printed digi's as a test to make sure I was going to like it.  The color seemed to just flow so easily, every stroke and color I chose I was just super super happy with.  I actually had no intention of entering this project into any challenge but was encouraged to do so by so many.

The image is called Winter Kiddles by Sasayaki Glitter Stamps and you can purchase it here CLICK ME TO PURCHASE while you are over at the shop take a look around and I dare you to not find another digi to add to your collection.

Card Recipe:
Winter Kiddles digital stamp printed on Canson Watercolor
Distress ink in Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet blended around edges then I used my fingertips to spritz water waited for color to lift/disappear then applied paper towel to further lift color.
ZiG Clean Color pens for the coloring of the image
Nuvo Crystal drops and Stickles glitter for all the sparkly parts
Kat Scrappiness Stitched Rectangle Dies to die cut my completed project. SPECIAL NOTE if you have not used these dies before let me be the first to enable you.  They cut thru watercolor paper as if it was butter, clean cut, every little stitch perfect and the price point on this set of dies is absolutely Ah-Mazing $9.99!!! Seriously I cannot say or promote these dies more! I also own the rope dies and same thing just love love love them.

I have entered this card into the following challenges:
and
DECEMBER Progressive challenge #2 WINTER KIDDLES on the Sasayaki Glitter Digital Stamps fan page over on FB.  If you join in on this Facebook challenge you win period! since it is a progressive challenge you will receive the next challenge digi for free if you join in on the current challenge.

Thank you Dreamerz for taking the time to look at this project today.  Have a great day and Color On!!
