New Pad! ~ KDB

Good Afternoon Dreamerz!
It's my day to post to the KaDoodleBug Designs Blog so today I want to share with you a card I created for my friend who is recently separated with 2 small children, she just got a new home.  I used the file Too Cute to be Green.  I created the card using my digital editing program and added the cute lil elements of the frogs and lily onto buttons to create the scene you see here for a fun whimsical look.  I just love the KaDoodle Bug Design files sometimes include the clipart making it super easy to create a cute card in no time at all.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day!

Back to School ~ Victorine Originals ~ Challenge #7

Good Morning Dreamerz,

Today is the start of Challenge #7 on the Victorine Originals BlogThe theme for this challenge is: "BACK TO SCHOOL".  Here's my inspiration for you using:
Mini Animals and Flowers
This Challenge I created a set of flash cards, perfect for any preschooler.

Card Recipe:
I used a my digital editing program to write the text on each flash card choosing to use the color of ink for the color on the word to associate the written word with the color. This was printed on Neenah 80lb cardstock and then each was die cut using a stitched rectangle die.  I then cut apart the Mini Animals and Flowers stamp and using an acrylic block and corresponding colors stamped my images on to each panel.  Lastly each flashcard was laminated to provide durability for many years to come. Plus can we say easy clean up!
~
So, now on to the details of how to play along with the challenge...
Head on over to the Victorine Originals blog and check out their challenge post. You have two weeks to enter your project/s that follow this theme. They do not have to use Victorine Originals stamps on them to enter. We can't wait to see what you create!

Victorine Originals ~ Challenge #6 ~ Ahoy Landlubbers

Good Morning Dreamerz,

Today is the start of Challenge #6 on the Victorine Originals BlogThe theme for this challenge is: "Ahoy Landlubbers".  We have switched the challenges up a bit, we now have 3 ways to play along. Here's my inspiration for you using:
Pirate Kid and Shiver Me Timbers

Card Recipe:
I used 2 MISTI stamping tools to complete this project. In MISTI #1, I stamped Pirate Kid using Hero Arts Soft Granite shadow ink on a Neenah 80lb cardstock layer that I diecut. I then stamped him a 2nd time on masking paper, fussy cut the mask out and applied over the image.  In MISTI #2, I lined up the Shiver Me Timbers stamp in my stamping tool and stamped it using the colors from the inspiration photo with Quick Quotes Powder Puff chalk inks. I chose these inks because they would add a soft subtle background and they stamp amazingly the first time. Removed the mask and colored in the Pirate Kid with Prismacolor pencils. Once I was happy with how he looked I then placed the card layer back into MISTI #1 and used a very light (think second generation) stamping of the Pirate Kid using Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink. I then used versamark and clear embossed the Pirate Kid.  Attached to a dark navy card base and card is ready to send off!!

Rocks? Why uumm yes please!

Good Morning Dreamerz

Today is a little different from my usual blog post showcasing cards that I create so bear with me and please read and and enjoy!
~
There is a new craze sweeping the nation right now and it is Rock Painting.  Communities all over the United States are forming local FaceBook groups and painting rocks.  What's that you say?! Painting Rocks?, why yes, I did say that.  It is the perfect excuse to get the kids and adults out from behind the electronics, use their imagination, create something, spend time with each other and then to hide these little treasures out in their communities.

One such community is the FaceBook group BeaumontCaROCKS and that is the one I belong to.  These kids and their families are having the best time ever.  Now while my children are fully grown I am a grandmother and a crafter, so when I saw this group forming I joined in and started creating with supplies found only in my craft room (with the exception of a can of clear lacquer to seal the finished rocks) Below are some pictures of the rocks I have done and some of the happy faces of those that found them, along with some other pictures of rocks that have been hidden in our community.
I will be writing a much more detailed post on how I created my own rocks, but for now I can say I stamped all my images, used copic markers, sharpies, and watercolors, along with lots of embellishments!!
On to the Pictures!!!
start with a blank canvas
Stamp some images or hand draw some
paint, decorate, and seal to protect them

Now some pictures of the happy faces that found them

I have pictures of the other children and will update this blog posting when I recieve their parents consent to post their pictures on social media. Now on to some of my community's pictures.

Reese
Riley, Taylor, and Caydence

And some are taking what they find and replacing with one of their own!! look my little pineapple got a new home and was replaced with this amazing painted rock to look like a travel trailer.  WOW the imagination here in our community is strong.
Shannon's Trailer she left in place for the pineapple which I then went back out and traded (yes I had to have that trailer!) for this cute Flamingo
