The Rabbit Hole Designs ~ Happy Valentines Day ~ *Giveaway Alert!




MaryAnn, here to share a really easy to make card with you that features the newest images from
The Rabbit Hole Designs set Love You More

Many know I can color faces and such but I labor for hours because I am not very good at it, so when the chance happens by that I can create a project that requires little to no coloring and the images still convey the message, I am on it! This is a card technique that comes together so fast and easy that before you know it you have created many.

Card Recipe
  • I created an embossed background on a piece Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb cardstock cut down to 4 1/8th x 5 3/8 using stacking/infinity heart dies and set aside.
  • I then stamped the couple with a Copic friendly ink and used my Brother Scan and Cut to cut around the couple, but you can also fussy cut this very easily as the image is pretty straight forward
  • Again I am no pro at Copic coloring of people so I quickly grabbed R27 and gave the stamped image a quick pass with some color. 
  • I thought the couple needed something so I Copic Black 100 and went all around the edge as seen in the picture below. I applied 3D mounting tape to the back of the couple and set aside to start assembly.
  • My card base is Neenah Classic Crest 110lb Solar White cut to A2 size. I used a piece of black cardstock from my stash cut down to A2 size and affixed it to the top of the card base using Tombow multi mono glue. I then used the same glue to affix the heart embossed panel dead center (well for me sort of crooked dead center). Next up was the previously colored, cut and foam taped kissing couple, to the center of the hearts. To finish off this card some black enamel dots on the front, give the card a nice pop of sparkle and shine.

The Rabbit Hole Designs ~ So-Fishticated Valentines Day Card

Today I am up on the blog and I want to share a fast and easy, easy to make card with you that features the newest images from
The Rabbit Hole Designs set So-Fishticated and Love you More

Card Recipe
  • Stamp fish with Versafine Clair ink in Paradise and Charming Pink, apply clear embossing powder and heat set. 
  • Fussy cut or use a Scan-n-Cut for the fish and use a C5 Copic marker around all the edges to add dimension.  Apply foam tape to back of fish and set aside
  • Versafine Clair in Morning Mist for the LOVE from Love You More with clear embossing powder applied and heat set.
  • Diecut from Neenah Classic Crest 110lb the heart in the center of an A2 sized panel, then I used another die to trim down the panel further.  Apply a piece of acetate to back of diecut panel using strong adhesive.  Add foam to over the acetate leaving plenty of room around the heart and to edges of diecut panel for stability.
  • I used a scrap piece of watercolored paper for the colored layer under the diecut panel and affixed to the center of the card base.  Sprinkle on some sequins in center and spread out just a bit.  Apply foam backed diecut panel and press firmly to attach.
  • Lastly apply the fish to the front of the panel.
  • Neenah Classic Crest Solar white in 110lb(card base), diecut panel, and the fish.

The Rabbit Hole Designs ~ So-Fishticated ~ Window Card

Today I am up on the The Rabbit Hole Designs blog and I want to share a semi easy to make card with you that features the newest images from
The Rabbit Hole Designs set So-Fishticated

This is another card technique straight from Jennifer McGuire it is a technique to create an acetate window card.

Card Recipe
  • While I would love to give a tutorial and instructions I suggest you really watch Jennifer McGuire's video in the link above. I will list the items I used to make the card below
  • Distress Oxide ink in Abandoned Coral, Tattered Rose, Hickory Smoke, and Spun Sugar for the stencil and coloring of the fish and stamping of the coral on the inside of the card.
  • Versafine Clair in Morning Mist for the sentiment and the Fish with clear embossing powder applied heat set.
  • Acetate from my stash for the clear panel
  • Neenah Classic Crest Solar white in 110lb (card base) and 80lb for the stenciled panel and fish.
  • Tiny foam dots to pop up fish on front panel.
  • Iridescent dots from my stash for bubbles

The Rabbit Hole Designs ~ Love is in the air

Today is my first solo post for The Rabbit Hole Designs and I want to share a really easy to make card with you that features the newest images from
The Rabbit Hole Designs set Love You More

This is a card technique straight from Jennifer McGuire (who does not love themselves some Jennifer McGuire, right!?) When she says in her blog post "I want to make a million of these" she is not lying.  These backgrounds and layout come together so fast and easy that before you know it you have created many.

 Card Recipe
  • Create a stamped with versamark watermark ink and clear powder heat embossed background on Neenah Classic Crest White 80lb cardstock using the smaller elements from the stamp set "Don't forget to use your anti-static powder on the panel before stamping" 
  • Grab your favorite blending tools and some inks and set about blending them on the panel any way you wish.  Honestly there is no wrong way here, just go with it!
  • I then stamped the couple with a Copic friendly ink and die cut the panel on a slant.  I found it really easy to do with rectangle dies so I could have a nice finished edge. 
  • I am no pro at Copic coloring of people so I quickly grabbed some markers and gave the stamped image a quick pass with some color. 
  • I thought the couple needed something so I quickly grabbed the sentiments lined them up and gave them a stamp and I was happy.  Now to assembly.
  • To adhere the ink blended panel to the #110 card base I used Tombow Multi glue in the green bottle. For the couple panel I added 3D mounting foam to the back of the panel and attached to the top left edge flush top and left of the ink blended panel.  To finish off this card some pink confetti sequins and a clear heart shaped drop  that I used some pink glitter glue to adhere to the front, give the card a nice pop of sparkle and shine.

Favorites from The Rabbit Hole Designs initial releases.

Good Morning Dreamerz.

Well I know about a month ago I said life had gotten busy and I would explain later about that.. Well now is "The Later" moment.  If you have not figured out by now I have teamed up with 2 other amazing women and we started a company called The Rabbit Hole Designs.  This has been in the works for months, and I mean years worth of work packed into months.
