Victorine Originals ~ Challenge #8 ~ PURPLE ~ Tutorial

Good Morning Dreamerz,

Today is the start of Challenge #8 on the Victorine Originals BlogThe theme for this challenge is: "PURPLE".  Here's my inspiration for you using:
Motorcycle
This Challenge I am also including a simple tutorial on how to align a red rubber or as some know them foam backed stamps, using your stamping tool.

Card Recipe:
I used a MISTI stamping tool to complete this project. I first created my background using the torn paper technique to create stencils and used Distress inks and a blending tool on a Neenah 80lb cardstock layer.
~
Tutorial
Step1. REMOVE the black foam pad from your MISTI. Put your background/base layer into your MISTI and lay down a clear laminated grid sheet over the background layer.  NOTE: I am providing a link where you can find the grid sheet, but I made my own using my printer, transparency paper, laminator and laminating sheets/pockets.
Step 2. lay down your stamp in the position you would like it to be, close the lid of your stamping tool to attach stamp then open and lightly ink the stamp.  Close the lid giving a light inked stamp image on the grid paper. If you are happy with the position move to step 3, if not wipe off the grid, re-position the stamp and repeat step 2 until you are happy.
Step #3. Once you are happy with your placement, remove the grid paper, make sure you have magnets on the background layer and stamp away!!
~
Once I was happy with the placement of the image I removed the laminated grid and stamped the Motorcycle stamp using Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink. I then used versamark and clear embossed the image.  Die cut the layer using a KatScrappiness Stitched Fancy Scalloped Rectangles. I used Prismacolor Premier pencils in various greens and browns to add the grass. Attached to a black base and card is ready to send off!!
~
So, now on to the details of how to play along with the challenge...

3 Amigos Blog Hop Challenges ~ Guest DT

Good Morning Dreamers,

This Morning I want to share with you a cute card I created using paper from Close To My Heart.  I was asked by the lovely Lisa over at Life of a BZScrapper to be a Guest Design Team member for Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenges

The Challenge is using all Close To My Heart papers of a certain theme. This month it is using papers and elements from the "Jack" campaign

Card Recipe
All paper is Close To My Heart with the exception of the card base which is Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb
This card is pretty straight forward and what I would think as clean and simple. The medallion was die cut using a scallop stitched circle die with a second layer of foam die cut with the same die to add dimension. A tiny red enamel dot brad was added to the center for interest.
~
I do hope you will pop on over to the Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenges and peek at all the lovely projects they have created using this paper.
While using CTMH paper is encouraged the challenge is open to anyone to enter if you follow the theme/colors/inspiration
~
I wish to thank all the lovely designers over at Three Amigos for letting me join them this month
~
Thank you for dropping by today Dreamerz, and have a great day!

PEA's get well soon! ~ Victorine Originals

Good Morning Dreamerz,

Today is my day to post on the Victorine Originals Blog.  I chose to use
Pea Pods for my inspiration today.  I recently tried to buy a stamp from a different manufacturer that is nearly identical to this one and it was sold out.  Silly me I only had to look at Victorine Originals and it was right there!! This is one of 2 projects I will be showing off this month for my days to post over on the Victorine Originals Blog.

Card Recipe:
Pea Pod stamped on Craft cardstock using Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink, then I stamped around the edges using those new dreamy Distress Oxide inks Antique Linen. I colored in the image using Prismacolor Premier pencils and then used Gansai Tambi Starry watercolors in gold to add the highlights to the vines, leaves and to flick lil dots of gold across the whole front of card to add a bit of shimmer. Lastly I die cut the layer using KatScrappiness Stitched Rectangle dies and adhered the layer to the front of a pale green sheet of textured cardstock cut down to an A2 sized card base

Don't forget there is still time to enter your "Back to School" themed projects into our challenge, we now have 3 ways to play along. Check out this lovely inspiration board for the current challenge.

New Pad! ~ KDB

Good Afternoon Dreamerz!
It's my day to post to the KaDoodleBug Designs Blog so today I want to share with you a card I created for my friend who is recently separated with 2 small children, she just got a new home.  I used the file Too Cute to be Green.  I created the card using my digital editing program and added the cute lil elements of the frogs and lily onto buttons to create the scene you see here for a fun whimsical look.  I just love the KaDoodle Bug Design files sometimes include the clipart making it super easy to create a cute card in no time at all.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day!

Back to School ~ Victorine Originals ~ Challenge #7

Good Morning Dreamerz,

Today is the start of Challenge #7 on the Victorine Originals BlogThe theme for this challenge is: "BACK TO SCHOOL".  Here's my inspiration for you using:
Mini Animals and Flowers
This Challenge I created a set of flash cards, perfect for any preschooler.

Card Recipe:
I used a my digital editing program to write the text on each flash card choosing to use the color of ink for the color on the word to associate the written word with the color. This was printed on Neenah 80lb cardstock and then each was die cut using a stitched rectangle die.  I then cut apart the Mini Animals and Flowers stamp and using an acrylic block and corresponding colors stamped my images on to each panel.  Lastly each flashcard was laminated to provide durability for many years to come. Plus can we say easy clean up!
